Client
We had the opportunity to work with the Ondo State Government to empower a dedicated group of Directors and Information Officers with the tools and insight to elevate their public communication efforts. Our goal was to create an engaging, insightful, and action-oriented workshop that would not only explore the power of social media but also equip government officers with the strategic knowledge to use it effectively, responsibly, and impactfully. This session served as a vital step toward reshaping how Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) communicate, connect, and build trust with the public.
Produktiviti was engaged to train Directors and Press/Information Officers across MDAs in Ondo State on the relevance, standards, and practicalities of effective social media management. The workshop was themed around elevating public communication deliverables and ensuring MDAs engage their audiences strategically and responsibly through digital platforms.
This one-day intensive training was designed to bridge knowledge gaps, introduce global best practices, and establish clear frameworks for content creation, crisis communication, and public engagement across social media platforms.
Ondo State Government
Our approach combined strategic insight with practical application, tailored specifically for the public sector. We designed a human-centered, context-aware curriculum focused on real challenges faced by government communicators. Through interactive sessions, scenario-based learning, and relevant case studies, we helped participants build not just knowledge but capacity. We provided strategic tools, templates, and frameworks to empower consistent, clear, and effective social media communication across MDAs. The training was practical, engaging, and aimed at fostering long-term impact beyond the workshop.
The Challenge
Many public sector communication teams operate with outdated models of communication or lack the capacity to fully utilize social media tools to drive engagement, share impact, and control narratives. There is a growing demand for digital fluency, strategic thinking, and audience-centered communication—especially within government MDAs, where public trust and clarity of information are paramount.
